Privacy Policy
HACCP Builder is operated by HACCP Builders, Inc. (“HACCP Builder”, “we”). This policy explains what information we collect through our software and our website and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, work email, mobile phone number if the facility provides one, the facility and organization a person belongs to, and the role they hold in the software.
- Food-safety records: the logs, check lists, documents and plans a facility enters into the software. These belong to the facility, which can download them at any time.
- Technical information: sign-in times, the pages used, and error information, to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
To provide the software to the facility; to keep accounts secure; to send the work notifications described below; to answer support requests; and to improve the service. We do not sell personal information.
Text messaging (SMS)
If a facility manager adds your mobile number, we use it only to send the work notifications described on our SMS consent page: reminders to complete scheduled logs and check lists, and alerts when a record is out of range. We collect your name, your mobile number and the facility you belong to for this purpose. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use a messaging provider (Twilio) only to deliver the messages. Agreeing to texts is optional. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help or write to support@haccpbuilder.com.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the software (for example hosting, email and text delivery), under terms that limit their use of it; when the law requires; or with the facility your account belongs to.
Security and retention
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls that limit what each person can see by role and facility. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You own your data, and you can download it at any time while your subscription is active. We keep a facility’s records while its account is active. After an account ends we may delete them, unless the law requires otherwise. We keep account information while the account is active.
Your choices
Ask your facility manager or write to support@haccpbuilder.com to see, correct or remove your information. Reply STOP to end text messages.
